
They refuse to acknowledge that the glitch is at their end. AT&T Tech Support have taken remote control over my computer twice and found that all of my email settings were correct. I have 5 non-networked computers running Outlook 2003 and all have developed the same login issues with ATT/Yahoo email since early April.

The ATT tech support group has not been able to understand that the problem is somewhere at their end. I then minimize the opening profile page and then open Outlook which then runs as it normally should. Ports are 995 and 465, respectively, and boxes are checked for SSL encryption.īefore I open Outlook, I sign on to the “Member Center” at ATT.Net and enter my password. I am using the new server addresses of “” and “” for my POP and SMTP servers, respectively. I will say that it is an annoying inconvenience but my Outlook email does operate as it did before AT&T made their server changes. Here is my solution as a work-around for this problem. I have the computer at work and put it on Google’s SMTP server, and it worked just fine with the exception of sending messages from her Gmail account. They finally came up with some lame ass excuse about the servers being down yesterday and to give it 24-48 hours for them to come back up. They tried adding her work email to her accounts in her email, but the verification email won’t come across. I have spent multiple hours and several days on the phone with AT&T Tech Support (which is WORTHLESS!!!) and THEY couldn’t figure out the problem. She just got AT&T High Speed Internet, and lo and behold! She can send emails to every other domain EXCEPT her work domain.

She switched to Comcast HSI and she could send and receive emails with no problem. She has had this computer for 5 years and when she was a former BellSouth customer, her settings worked just fine.
